Located in a private zone of Backhandworld's website, The Hot Spot is the most comprehensive collection of professional backhand tuition and related online tennis training videos, available on the web today. Now including live backhand support!
Here's a list of what's included in Backhandworld's Hot Spot:
Your Personal Tennis Training Video Analysed
As part of your Hot Spot membership you are entitled to have one video of your backhand technically analysed by Backhandworld's John Key. His technical observations will be presented to you as a spoken audio file on your own personal coaching page.
Live Backhand Support
Once registered you will have access to personal, live one to one backhand support from Backhandworld. The questions on your backhand technique can be entered into a control panel from within the Hot Spot members zone and the replies will be immediate.
We will endeavour to be online and available for support for 30 hours per week (UK time). Our online or offline status can be easily determined from the right column of Backhandworld's home page. Email support is available for members when the 'offline' sign is showing.
The V-Book
The 35 animations and 10 film clips form the heart of the Online Video-Book that sits in the Hot Spot members zone. 16 chapters of text and numerous images complement the comprehensive multimedia clips.
The V-Book really is a seperate private website for Hot Spot members.
Read the text, click the virtual shots!
The numerous virtual shots presented throughout this book mean that technical clarity is only a click away.
You won't just be reading where the racket head should be when fully prepared for a topspin drive - a click of a button will have you viewing excellent, detailed demonstrations immediately. All virtual shots are available with front to side panning. This facility allows user control of the camera angle and therefore the viewpoint of the demonstration.
Jump Frames - Some of the virtual shots have a 'jump frames' button. This allows the user to step through the shot in stages.
Films of the world's top pros!
The V-Book is littered throughout with professionally recorded films of some of the world's top pros hitting backhands, demonstrating every aspect of the shot in detail. The videos are all presented in excellent resolution and were all filmed with a broadcast quality camera.
Our film clips are yet another fantastic way to enhance the learning curve.
Some clips will be at full speed and some in slow motion. All film clips can be paused and rewound as they are presented in a neat media player.
Drill animations
Our new innovative way of demonstrating drills allows us to clearly and accurately guide you, courtesy of our unique virtual tennis player and court concept. This excellent facility avoids complicated and unclear text only versions of the drills. Once again just a click away!
All drill animations have a 'View Text' button - hover over this for a full description of the drill.

These animated examples are used to demonstrate anything from the various service returns, to the behaviour of the ball with spin. Excellent!
